Classic flick

This week's Movies@Main will be Alfred Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train" at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Akron-Summit Main Library in downtown Akron. The movie tells the tale of a murder on a train.

 

Zoo mystery

There will be a Clue at the Zoo activity on Saturday at the Akron Zoo. It seems all the kitty litter containers at the zoo are all missing and the lion Tamarr is the chief suspect. The program is included with zoo admission.

 

Smooth jazz

The Rubber City Jazz & Blues Festival is this weekend with performances planned throughout the city. The featured guest performer is jazz pianist Robert Glasper. The Robert Glasper Trio will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday night at the Akron Civic Theatre. Tickets range from $29.50 to $49.50. For more on the concert, visit www.rubbercityjazz.com.

 

Horsing around

Outdoor movie

There will be an outdoor movie night featuring the kids flick "Robots" at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The movie, put on by Summit Metro Parks, will be shown at the Summit Lake Trailhead at 380 W. Crosier St. in Akron.
