Cleveland-based Saucy Brew Works wants to open a brewery and move its corporate offices to Independence, Cleveland.com reports.

The brewery — which opened a pub at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and has announced plans to open a brewpub in Columbus — recently made a pitch before the city Planning Commission for a $17 million project on Rockside Woods Boulevard, the website said.

Co-founder Brent Zimmerman told the government body that the brewery is running out of space at its Cleveland site.

Saucy — a brewery-artisan pizzeria concept designed to model the award-winning Pizza Port in San Diego — opened in 2017 in Cleveland’s Hingetown neighborhood just around the corner from Great Lakes Brewing Co. and Market Garden Brewery. Saucy not only operates a brewpub, but also a production brewery that distributes its beer in cans.
