New digs: The Akron Fire Department is hosting two open houses Thursday to show off new stations. Fire Station 4 at 81 W. Thorton St. will be open from noon to 2 p.m. for tours. Akron's new Fire Station 2 at 952 E. Market St. will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to noon.

 

Senior living: There will be a Senior Expo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Community Hall in Central Park in Green. There will be displays from various businesses and organizations.

 

Ball park grub: The Soup at Six discussion at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum in Canton will take a look at ball park food. The discussion will be led by Kent State Stark history professor Leslie Heaphy and look at everything from hot dogs to Cracker Jack to sushi. The program costs $20. Call  330-455-7043 for more.
