Woodridge 2, Coventry 0

After being held scoreless for nearly the entire match, the Bulldogs scored two goals in the final six minutes to top the host Comets in a Portage Trail Conference Metro Division contest and remain unbeaten in conference play.

Dante Arstone scored first goal off an assist from Nathan Dunaj.

Junior Josh Fleming duplicated that feat with an assist from Aiden Hartong to push Woodridge to 6-5-1 overall and 5-0 in the PTC.

Brunswick 4, Firestone 1

The Blue Devils scored the first four goals of the match before giving up the shutout late in winning their ninth match of the year.

Garrett Shay played a part in three goals for Brunswick (9-3-1), scoring two of his own and assisting on Justin Hagler's finish.

Isaac Koehler found the net unassisted to help Firestone (7-5-1) avoid the shutout.

Girls soccer

Streetsboro 4, St. Vincent-St. Mary 2

The Rockets doubled the Fighting Irish in shots on goal and Emma Flick converted two chances to break the halftime tie and win a nonconference matchup.

Kayley Grajzl and Emma Luebbering did it all offensively for St. V-M (9-3), scoring a goal apiece.

Perrin Morgan turned away 11 shots for the Irish but the constant attack from Streetsboro proved too much.

North Canton Hoover 9, Canton McKinley 0

Lesley Kiesling scored four goals and the Vikings did all their scoring in the first half in dominating the Bulldogs in a Federal League win.

Jillian Bell beat the keeper twice and tacked on two assists for Hoover.
