Manchester 50, Copley 49

All of sophomore guard Karli Anker's 27 points Friday at Chippewa Thanksgiving Classic were important for the Panthers, but the most important came in the final second on the last of her five 3-pointers to lift Manchester to a season-opening victory. Liz Seidel added 10 points for the Panthers.

Anker's shot capped a comeback for Manchester, which trailed by 10 points at halftime and after three quarters. The Panthers outscored Copley 17-6 in the fourth quarter, led by Anker's 13 points.

Emma Brown paced Copley with 25 points.

 

Cuyahoga Falls 57, CVCA 43

The Black Tigers opened the season with a home win behind junior guard Chelsea Huffman's 20 points. Raygan Corrigall contributed 10 points and Olivia Lemmon had 10 rebounds for Cuyahoga Falls. Lauren Davis led all scorers with 21 points for CVCA (0-1).

 

Lake 52, Southeast 46

Mackenzie Hance's 21 points sparked Lake to a nonleague victory. Abby Stephens added 13 points for the Blue Streaks. Andrea Radcliff led all players with 25 points and 11 rebounds for Southeast (0-1).

 

Rittman 45, Mogadore 19

Emma Gasser's 14 points led the host Indians to a home-opening win.
