Archbishop Hoban 64, Kenmore-Garfield 41

The Knights jumped out to a 15-1 lead after the first quarter and never looked back in putting away their nonconference foe.

Lonasia Brewer scored a game-high 22 points to lead Hoban (2-0), and Jackie Roberts added 15 points.

The Golden Rams had a more balanced scoring attack with three players in double figures, led by sophomore Ianna Lopp's 14 points.

 

Bay Village Bay 58, Revere 48

The Rockets made adjustments at halftime to pull away and secure a road victory over the Minutemen.

Senior forward Taylor Rinn built off a solid game in the season opener to pour in a game-high 22 points for Revere (1-1). Adison Novosel and Grace Hete each chipped in eight more points.

 

Buchtel 50, Tallmadge 32

The Griffins outscored the Blue Devils 30-22 in the second half to turn a close game into an impressive road win.

Javaan Rogers led the way again for Buchtel (1-1), scoring 12 points. Imani Jackson added 10 more.

Lzzie Bickar was the bright spot for Tallmadge (0-1), tallying a game-high 21 points.
 

Norton 71, Field 32

The Panthers used 10 different scorers to easily dispatch the host Falcons.

Norton senior guard Bryana Housley nearly started off the year with a rare triple-double, scoring 17 points, swiping 10 steals and dishing seven assists.

Sophomore Riley Ballinger canned four 3-pointers on her way to 14 points, and the Panthers defense pressured relentlessly, forcing 36 turnovers.

 

Lake Center Christian 48, Mogadore 37

Even with a 24-point push in the final quarter, the Wildcats couldn't muster much otherwise in a losing effort.

Hannah Mang scored a game-high 17 points to pace the Tigers (1-0), who held Mogadore to single digits in the first three quarters and led 27-13 heading down the stretch.

Hope Murphy scored 14 points to lead the way for Mogadore.
