Alexa Golden scored 11 points, and Kent State rallied in the second half to defeat host Robert Morris 54-36 on Friday.

The Golden Flashes (4-4) trailed 22-20 at halftime, but took control of the game in the third quarter with a 20-10 run led by Golden's seven third-quarter points.

The Flashes outscored the Colonials 34-24 in the second half to put the game away.

Merissa Barber-Smith grabbed 10 rebounds and Lindsey Thall added nine points for the Flashes, who travel to St. Bonaventure on Dec. 17.

 

Track and field

The Kent State University track and field team announced that the Golden Flash Gala scheduled for Dec. 7-8 has been canceled.

The team will next compete at the Wolverine Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Jan. 12.
