St. Vincent-St. Mary 75, Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown 28

The Fighting Irish placed four scorers in double figures in a dominant victory over the visiting Blazers.

Seniors Maria Dobson and Sophia Williams each scored a team-high 14 points to help St. V-M (3-5) cruise to victory.

Freshman forward Lanae Riley (12 points) and senior guard Jada Haines (11) joined Dobson and Williams in double figures.

 

Ellet 43, Mogadore 28

After a slow start that resulted in a 10-5 deficit after the first quarter, the Orangemen got it together and outscored the visiting Wildcats 38-18 the rest of the way to secure a nonleague win.

Senior center Alyssa Martin dominated on the inside for Ellet (4-6), notching a career-high 28 points, including 12 in the third quarter. She also grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds.

Hope Murphy with 10 points was the lone player to score in double figures for the Wildcats (0-10).

 

Northwest 54, Canton Central Catholic 21

The Indians stifled the Crusaders in the consolation game of the Mayor's Cup to keep CCC winless.

Northwest (6-3) locked down from the tip, allowing just two points in the first quarter and closed by surrendering just two points in the final quarter.

Offensively, the Indians got a game-high 14 points from Carly Spradling.
