Here is this year's 2018-19 Greater Akron boys soccer all-star team, as selected by the Akron Beacon Journal and Ohio.com sports department.

Sandor Jakab, Revere, Senior

Jakab totaled 35 goals and 25 assists in his Revere career, and contributed to Division II state runner-up teams in 2016 and 2018. He scored 17 goals and had 13 assists as a senior, and earned All-Ohio and All-American honors. His efforts helped Revere compile records of 17-3-3, 13-3-3, 16-4-3 and 15-2-2 during the past four seasons.

Josh Davis, Copley, Junior

Davis helped Copley (12-6-1) to a Division I district championship appearance against eventual state champion Medina. He earned All-Ohio honors with 15 goals and seven assists in 2018.

Corey Hunt, Stow, Senior

Hunt led Stow (16-3-2) to a Division I district title win over Hudson and a regional final appearance against eventual state champion Medina. He earned All-Ohio honors as a senior with 24 goals and eight assists, and finished his Stow career with 24 goals and eight assists.

Kai Wagner, Wadsworth, Senior

Wagner had 14 goals and seven assists en route to All-Ohio honors at Wadsworth (8-9). He earned four varsity letters and finished with 25 goals and 20 assists. The Grizzlies went 14-2-2, 12-4-2 and 11-5-2 the previous three seasons with Wagner in the lineup.

Ryan Sarkisian, Hudson, Senior

Sarkisian played a pivotal role for Hudson, which went 11-7-2 in each of the past two seasons. Hudson topped Stow in a Division I district final in 2017 and the Explorers lost to the Bulldogs in a district final in 2018. He scored 12 goals and had nine assists this season en route to receiving All-Ohio honors.

Zack Venus, CVCA, Senior

Venus received All-Ohio accolades in Division II with 15 goals and five assists as a senior. He helped CVCA post a 12-5-0 record and reach a Division II district semifinal.

Aiden Hartong, Woodridge, Senior

Hartong earned All-Ohio honors in Division II and led Woodridge (9-8-1) to its fifth consecutive Portage Trail Conference championship with five goals and 14 assists as a senior. The Bulldogs went 27-0-1 against PTC foes the past four seasons with Hartong.

Eli Fragnoli, Highland, Senior

Fragnoli made the transition from midfield to forward as a senior in 2018 and responded as impact player on the pitch for the Hornets with 23 goals and nine assists.

Sam Harter, Copley, Sophomore

Harter scored nine goals and had four assists for Copley (12-6-1), which made a Division I district championship appearance against eventual state champion Medina.

Sam York, Revere, Senior

York stepped into the starting goalkeeper role for Revere and helped the Minutemen finish with a 17-3-3 record as the Division II state runner-up team in 2018 to Cincinnati Summit Country Day. He had 102 saves and allowed only 20 goals in 21 matches.

Konnor Schwerdtfeger, Firestone, Junior

Schwerdtfeger has helped Firestone win City Series titles and reach the second round of the Division I tournament in each of the past two seasons. He had nine goals and seven assists in 2017 on a 12-2-4 team, and 19 goals and six assists in 2018 on a 10-7-1 squad.

Justin Chalfant, Archbishop Hoban, Senior

Chalfant led Hoban (11-3-4) to a Division I district semifinal appearance against eventual state champion Medina. He had 12 goals and four assists as a senior, and helped the Knights win North Coast League Blue Division championships in 2016 and 2018.
