Huffman, a junior, averaged about 21 points and nine rebounds per game in Cuyahoga Falls’ past four games with wins over Hudson and Ellet, and losses to Nordonia and Lake. She scored 16 points in the first quarter to lead Falls (5-4) to a 53-27 victory over Ellet, and finished that game with 21 points for the Black Tigers.
Luthy, a senior, led Medina to victories over Highland (51-39) and Solon (47-39) last week to propel the Bees to a 9-0 record. She had nine points and two assists against Highland, and 16 points and four rebounds against Solon. She is also a key to the Bees defense that has limited opponents to 33.4 points per game.
Maranville, a senior, led Lake (5-2) to recent wins over North Canton Hoover, GlenOak and Ellet. He scored 36 points in a 54-48 double overtime win over Hoover, 25 points in a 52-45 victory over GlenOak and 11 points in a 58-42 triumph over Ellet.
Swartz, a junior, scored 29 points to lead Mogadore to a 67-66 overtime win over Marlington in the Alliance Christmas Classic at the University of Mount Union. He also had six assists and four steals as the Wildcats (2-1) topped the Dukes.
Wallace, a senior, led Hudson (5-1) to recent wins over North Royalton, Cuyahoga Falls and Boardman. He had 22 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals against NR (68-54); 10 points and seven assists against CF (73-57); and 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists versus Boardman (65-47).
