Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown is uncertain to play in the team's biggest game of the season.

Brown was listed as questionable to play in the Steelers' must-win, regular-season finale at home against Cincinnati on Sunday. He missed all three practices this week with a knee injury, and coach Mike Tomlin said the team sent Brown for further evaluation on Friday.

Tomlin said Brown first began experiencing knee discomfort following the team's loss last Sunday at New Orleans. He caught 14 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns in that game.

"I gave him a [veteran's day off] Wednesday like I give to a lot of guys," Tomlin said. "[He] got in here [Thursday] and didn't feel comfortable enough to do it. We sent him for tests [Friday]. We'll get the results of those tests and have more information."

Tomlin didn't rule Brown out of Sunday's game.

Lions moves

The Detroit Lions have been assigned defensive end Mitchell Loewen via waivers from the New Orleans Saints.

The Lions also announced Friday that they have put defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Detroit wraps up its season at Green Bay on Sunday. Cornerback DeShawn Shead and tight end Luke Willson will also miss that game for the Lions.

Shead has a knee injury, and Willson's absence is related to a concussion.

Season over

New York Giants star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been ruled out for the fourth straight game.

Coach Pat Shurmur announced Friday that Beckham will miss Sunday's regular-season finale against Dallas with a quad injury.

Beckham sustained the injury on the final play of New York's 25-22 loss at Philadelphia on Nov. 25. The NFL's highest paid receiver played the following week against Chicago and accounted for two touchdowns. He aggravated the injury days before New York (5-10) played Washington and he has not played again.

Retiring from Bills

Defensive tackle Kyle Williams is retiring at age 35 after 13 seasons, a decision that leaves the Buffalo Bills without their most respected leader and longest-active tenured player.

Buffalo's season finale against Miami on Sunday will be his last game, he said Friday.
