Revere 79,

Kent Roosevelt 41

Grace Hete scored 26 points to lead four Minutemen in double figures and Revere downed visiting Kent Roosevelt in a Suburban League American Conference game. Hete made four of her eight 3-point attempts. Taylor Rimm added 15 points for Revere, and Adison Novosel and Jess Vari contributed 14 apiece.

 

Tallmadge 44,

Copley 35

Three players scored in double figures as the Blue Devils improved to 6-10 overall and 3-6 in the Suburban League. Jordyn Severns led Tallmadge with 12 points and Lizzie Bickar and Andreana Gotto each had 11.

 

St. Vincent-St. Mary 64,

North Marion (W.Va.) 55

After missing the past three games with an injury, Maria Dobson returned to the lineup and scored 14 points, including 3-of-4 free throws in the last 1:30, to help the Irish secure a home win.

Lanae Riley led St. V-M (10-6) with 18 points, and Sophia Williams and Jada Haines chipped in 16 and 12 points, respectively.

 

Jackson 42, Perry 37

Led by two underclassmen, the Polar Bears outscored Perry 14-8 in the fourth quarter to post a Federal League win. Sophomore Ava Scroggs hit both of her 3-point attempts in the fourth to help Jackson (12-5, 5-4) pull away for the win. Freshman Emma Dretke led Jackson with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Scroggs finished with eight points.

 

Northwest 56,

Manchester 42

Shaye Foutty and Carly Spradling each made six field goals to lead the Indians to a home win. Foutty finished with a team-high 19 points, and Spradling tallied 16 points. Payton Harris contributed 11 points.

 

Lake Center Christian 79,

Our Lady of the Elms 33

Kennedy Haubert scored a school-record 39 points and the Tigers set a record for most points in a game in a nonleague victory. Haubert, a senior guard, made 17 field goals to help Lake Center Christian improve to 10-5. Hannah Mang added 21 points for the Tigers.

 

BOYS BASKETBALL

Ellet 67,

Wadsworth 50

Jarmond Hogg scored 20 of his season-high 26 points in the second half to lead Ellet to a nonconference win in a makeup game. Hogg scored 10 points in each of the third and fourth quarters for the Orangemen, who have won 5-of-6 games in January.

Ellet (9-5) outscored Wadsworth (5-7) 24-6 in the third quarter while forcing 11 of the Grizzlies' 31 turnovers. The Orangemen used runs of 9-0 and 11-0 to build a 48-36 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Ellet's backcourt tandem of Ethan Jones and Adonis Jordan evenly split 22 points.

 

St. Vincent-St. Mary 65,

Benedictine 53

Seth Wilson and Lunden McDay each scored 15 points as the Irish improved to 10-2 with a win in Cleveland.

 

GIRLS BOWLING

Hilliard Bradley Baker Tournament

Norton finished fourth overall with a pin total of 2,633 to advance to the baker rounds. The Panthers then advanced to the finals against second-seeded Troy, but fell in three rounds, dropping the third match 182-156.
