Ellet 70, East 52
With two league games remaining, the Orangemen secured a second-place finish in the City Series with a win over visiting East.
Ellet led 57-52 with 4:08 to play and then scored the game's final 13 points. Jarmond Hogg keyed the second-half surge for Ellet (10-5, 7-1), scoring 19 of his 25 points after halftime. He had 12 of Ellet's 22 fourth-quarter points. Trevin Carter added 20 points and had a career-high 13 points for the Orangemen.
East (7-7, 4-4) was led by Derveonte Russell with 12 points, Deshawn Jones with 11 points and Billie Johnson with 11 rebounds.
Firestone 56, North 44
Three juniors paced the Falcons to a City Series win at home over the winless Vikings. Lorenzo Roberts' 12 points led Firestone (7-10, 4-3), which also got 11 points from Jayson Brooks and 10 from Juan Jackson.
Orrville 58, Triway 52
Logan Domer scored 20 points and Ben Summers had 15 to lead the Red Riders to a win at home. Summers also had a game-high nine rebounds.
Lake Center Christian 65
The Rovers improved to 11-5 overall and 7-2 in the PTC County Division as Scott Seger and Kaden Grubbs scored 16 and 15 points, respectively. Adam Nowak had 19 points to lead Lake Center Christian (8-8, 5-3).
The Tigers won a Suburban League crossover game behind Kenneth McElrath's 27-point night. McElrath scored nine of Twinsburg's 16 fourth-quarter points as the Tigers pulled away from its 50-49 third quarter lead.
Kent Roosevelt 37
Evan Bainbridge's dominant double-double helped visiting Stow cruise to a Suburban League crossover win. Bainbridge scored a season-high 36 points, including 19 in the first half, and also grabbed a career-high 28 rebounds for the Bulldogs (7-8). Brian Cartwright added 11 points for Stow.
The Bulldogs led by 30 at halftime and coasted to a 33-point win behind Garrison Kesslar's 13 points. Alex Casper and Shea Simmer added 10 points each.
Archbishop Hoban 2,498,
With games of 246 and 236, Jared Phillips led the Knights (9-3) to a nonleague win over North (8-7) at Riviera Lanes in Fairlawn. Chevy Lockard's 427 series topped the Vikings.
Eric Auffenberg's 463 pin total helped the Grizzlies improve to 11-2 overall and 9-1 in the Suburban League National Conference. Cooper Wrobel also rolled a 452 series and Chris Steele had a 434 series for Wadsworth.
Ravenna's Emily Swauger rolled a 451 series to lead the Ravens to a Portage Trail Conference Metro Division win. Swauger had games of 233 and 218 as the Ravens improved to 9-10 overall.
Sophomore Ryley Cecil tallied 408 series for Massillon (10-2).
