The Browns waived linebacker Tanner Vallejo on Monday.
He appeared in 13 games and made one start last year, compiling 20 tackles and one forced fumble on defense and seven tackles on special teams.
He started the first game of his career Nov. 15 in a 17-16 win over the Denver Broncos, but he was added to the injury report with a hamstring injury two days before the next game and then landed on injured reserve Dec. 28. In ProFootballFocus.com's grades, Vallejo ranked 118th among 125 linebackers who played at least 100 snaps last season.
In September, the Browns claimed him off waivers from the Buffalo Bills, who drafted him in the sixth round in 2017 out of Boise State.
