Bucknell Spring Break Intercollegiate
The University of Akron finished in third place at the two-day event held at the Reunion Resort and Club Watson Course in Orlando, Fla.
UA senior Danielle Nicholson took the individual title after carding a 36-hole score of 142. She captured first place by 5 strokes.
As a team, the Zips tallied a two-day total of 624, finishing 14 strokes behind co-champs Appalachian State and Richmond, who each shot 610.

The Golden Flashes scored early in capturing a midweek nonconference victory over the visiting Penguins.
KSU (5-10) scored two in the first inning and four in the second to jump on YSU 6-0.
Outfielder Ben Carew led the offensive onslaught for Kent State, singling once and doubling twice. He scored three times and drove in two while adding a stolen base to his stat line.
Pete Schuler, batting a spot behind Carew in the order, took advantage of Carew's day and added a single and double of his own. He scored once, knocked in three runs and stole a base.
Nick Elsen and Pavin Parks added home runs for KSU and Parks also came on to pitch a scoreless ninth inning.
