Trevor Bauer reached double-digit strikeouts for the first time this spring and Jake Bauers drove in five runs as the Indians, in split-squad action, topped the Milwaukee Brewers 9-3 and lost to the Kansas City Royals 17-7 in Cactus League play on Wednesday.

Again throwing his full arsenal, Bauer struck out 10 Brewers hitters in 4 2/3 innings to go with three earned runs on four hits and one walk. Roberto Perez hit his first home run of the spring, a solo shot in the third inning.

Against the Royals, Bauers went 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBI. Cody Anderson (six runs, two earned, four hits), Chih-Wei Hu (four earned runs on five hits) and Josh Smith (four runs, three earned, four hits) were all roughed up on the mound.
