Notebook: GlenOak won the Division I state title in 1989, was state runner-up in 1988 and a state semifinalist in 1990. GlenOak split its regular-season games this season with Canton McKinley, and has tournament wins over Perry, Green, North Canton Hoover, Aurora and Eastlake North. Golden Eagles coach Paul Wackerly will go with a starting lineup of 5-foot-2 junior Addison Mucci, 5-8 senior Jade Abdulla, 6-0 sophomore Aniyah Hall, 5-8 junior Erica Warren and 6-1 junior Hayley Smith. GlenOak’s top reserves are 5-4 junior Alexis Lemire and 6-0 junior Makenzie Green. All seven players average between 6.5 and 12.1 points per game. Mount Notre Dame won Division I state titles in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2017. The Cougars are coached by Scott Rogers, and his projected starters are 5-8 senior Iowa recruit Gabbie Marshall, 6-0 senior Loyola (Ill.) recruit Julia Hoefling, 5-6 junior Miami recruit Makira Cook, 5-9 freshman KK Bransford and 5-10 sophomore Laila Phelia. Bransford averages 17.0 points per game. The Cougars have tournament wins this season over Cincinnati Western Hills, Milford, Cincinnati Anderson, Kettering Fairmont, Cincinnati Mercy McAuley and Centerville.
