KSU bats go cold

in midweek road loss

The Golden Flashes managed just four hits in a 13-2 non-conference road loss to Canisius on Tuesday afternoon.

Conversely, the KSU pitching staff was touched up for 13 runs on 14 hits.

The lone bright spot for the Flashes (14-17) was Kian O'Brien. The third baseman launched his fifth homer of the season in the top of the seventh inning, his third blast in the past four games.

Akron secures second

place at invitational

The University of Akron carded a two-under par 560 to capture second place at the Wildcat Spring Invitational in Malvern, Pa.

The top individual for the Zips was Beau Bayerl who finished with a two-day total of 139, good enough for three-under par and tied for seventh individually.

Also coming in under par for the Zips were Ignacio Puente and Elliott Grayson, each carding a 140.
