New Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. might have dropped a big spoiler on social media Wednesday night.

The NFL has yet to release its regular-season schedule, but Beckham wrote on Twitter, "Just seen the schedule, it’s funny how God and the universe works.... week 1 surprise."

Beckham also commented Wednesday night on an Instagram post from New York Jets safety Jamal Adams by writing, "See u week one."

Adams replied, "count it."

The Browns are slated to play the Jets at MetLife Stadium at some point during the 2019 season, and there has been plenty of speculation about the two teams opening against each other on "Monday Night Football" to commemorate the program's 50th season. The first "MNF" game was between the Browns and Jets in 1970.

"That would be a good one, and it’s historic, so it would make sense," Browns owner Dee Haslam said of a potential Cleveland-New York Jets opener last month in Phoenix during the annual league meetings.

There are enticing story lines.

Beckham called MetLife Stadium his home NFL venue for the past five seasons as a member of the New York Giants, who traded him to the Browns on March 12.

There's also the Browns' reunion with new Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who went 5-3 as the Browns' interim coach last season but saw the full-time job go to Freddie Kitchens.

And then there's a matchup between quarterbacks who were drafted first and third overall last year, Baker Mayfield of the Browns and Sam Darnold of the Jets.

The NFL is expected to release the schedule in the next two weeks during the buildup to the April 25-27 NFL Draft. But Beckham might have already provided Browns fans with a Week 1 leak.
