Aukerman, a senior, pitched a perfect game to lead Hudson to a 1-0 win over host Cuyahoga Falls. He struck out 10 while facing the minimum 21 batters to up his record to 2-0. The Explorers entered the middle of the week 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the Suburban League National Conference.
Beck, a sophomore, helped Stow post a 3-1-1 record in the West High School Invitational in Knoxville, Tennessee. He went 7-for-8 at the plate with four singles, three doubles, three walks, seven RBI and five runs scored.
Horvath, a junior, pitched a no-hitter at North Royalton to lead Twinsburg to a 3-0 win. He tossed 73 pitches and had four strikeouts and no walks in the seven-inning victory to up his record to 2-0. The Tigers entered the middle of the week with an 8-0 overall record and a 5-0 mark in the Suburban League National Conference.
CVCA, track and field
Tucker, a senior, contributed to three school records and one meet record in the Medina Relays. He broke the school and meet record in the 100 meters with a time of 10.66 seconds, reestablished a school record in the 200 (21.56) and ran a leg on the 400 relay (43.16).
Zablo, a senior, helped Revere (6-2) open the season with a 4-0 record by scoring 23 goals. She had five goals against Brecksville, three goals against Lake, nine goals against Archbishop Hoban and six goals against Chardon Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin.
