Northwest 4, CVCA 1

Jessica Smith and Olivia Francis propelled the Indians to a Principals Athletic Conference road win Friday. Smith singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in one and Francis cracked a double and tallied two RBI for Northwest (5-4, 2-3).

Jensen Miller earned the win in the circle, going all seven innings and allowing just one run on seven hits. She struck out nine and walked two.

Kally Ashton accounted for four of the seven hits for CVCA (5-6, 3-3).

Tuslaw 16, Orrville 1

Nadia Hoffman fell a single short of the cycle as the Mustangs dominated the host Red Riders.

Hoffman doubled, tripled and launched a home run for Tuslaw (10-3, 4-1). Katie McMerrell and winning pitcher Sierra Neff also hit homers for the Mustangs.

Cloverleaf 7, Wooster 6 (8)

The Colts put together a two-out rally in the bottom of the eighth to steal a nonconference win over the upset-minded Generals.

After scoring a run in the seventh to force extra innings, Cloverleaf (10-4) started a rally in the eighth with a single by Hailey Eckelberry. After Eckelberry stole second, and Ashley Campfield singled, Wooster intentionally walked Emily Whitehair to load the bases, and Samantha Goode was hit by pitch to force in the winning run.
