KSU wins title

Kent State won the Lady Buckeye Invitational on Sunday on Ohio State University's Scarlet Course in Columbus. The 11th-ranked Golden Flashes closed out their regular season at 16 over, a stroke ahead of No. 20 Michigan State.

Pimnipa Panthong led three Kent State players in the top 10, tying for fourth place at 3 over. Karoline Stormo was eighth at 5 over and Michaela Finn tied for ninth at 6 over. Finn moved up 14 positions with a 1-under 71 in Sunday's third round. Stormo shot a 71 in the second round on Saturday and Panthong went 72-73-74 for her 219 total.

Kent State wins

Kent State picked up its second win in its inaugural season, defeating Howard 17-1 at Dix Stadium. Lluna Katz and Meghan Cawood each scored four goals and Abby Jones scored three for the Golden Flashes, who improved to 2-13 overall and 1-3 in the ASUN conference.

Kelli Bailey's first goal of the season put Kent State on the board first just 13 seconds into the game, and the Flashes went on to lead 12-0 at halftime.

Boilermaker Invitational halted by rain

Overnight rain washed out the third round of the Boilermaker Invitational in West Lafayette, Indiana, and Illinois State was declared the winner after leading at 16 under after Saturday's two rounds. Kent State finished 12th at 11 over in the 15-team field.
