Maddie Roukey shut down the host Grizzlies to preserve a close Suburban League victory and an undefeated record Tuesday night.

Roukey, a sophomore, gave up only one hit and struck out five in facing 23 batters, two over the minimum.

Coming through in the clutch for Hudson (10-0, 5-0) was Macy Peck, driving in freshman Katie Carrillo with a single in the fourth inning.

Tallmadge 1, Revere 0

Junior shortstop Jordyn Severns coaxed a bases-loaded walk to score the lone Blue Devils run and secure a Suburban League win at home.

The run came in the second inning after senior third baseman Paige Leitner led off with a single. An error and another single loaded the bases for Severns who delivered.

In the circle, Emily Pratt got the victory for Tallmadge (4-11, 4-1), striking out 11 and walking none. The senior allowed just two hits.

Springfield 9, Norton 3

The Spartans used a two-out rally in the fourth inning to put the game away and upset the host Panthers.

Holding a slim 2-1 lead in the fourth inning, Springfield (6-6, 4-4) plated five runs with two outs to widen the margin to 7-1.

Senior shortstop Saira Riddle fell a home run short of the cycle and scored four runs. Teammate Taylor Kern drilled two doubles and drove in four.
