Ellet 7, Firestone 4

The Orangemen jumped out to a big lead early and held off a late Firestone rally to stay unbeaten in City Series play.

Ellet (14-8, 10-0) scored four runs in the first inning before scoring three more in the third to earn a 7-0 lead.

Sydnie Wolf and Taylor Givens led the Ellet offense with three RBI apiece. Wolf singled three times and Givens ripped a bases-clearing double in the third inning.

 

Perry 4, Green 0

Payton Gottshall dominated in the circle, pitching a shutout to lead Perry to a Federal League win.

Gottshall struck out 12 and allowed just three hits.

Maddie Johnston singled and launched her third homer of the year. Maddie Snyder drilled her sixth long ball this season for Perry (21-4, 10-2).

 

Wadsworth 3, Stow 0

The Grizzlies scored two runs in the first inning and that was all Emily Cingle needed. Cingle shut down the visiting Bulldogs in Suburban League action.

Cingle (14-2) allowed just three Stow hitters to reach base in the complete-game win. She walked none and struck out three.

Wadsworth (18-6) was led offensively by Madison Long, who doubled home a run, and Emily Whitaker with a double and a run scored.
