RubberDucks 7, Baysox 3

Daniel Johnson stayed hot and the RubberDucks rolled to a 7-3 win over the Bowie Baysox on Monday at Canal Park.

Johnson hit his fourth home run in four games and logged his eighth RBI in as many contests for the Ducks (16-20), who opened a three-game series with the Baysox (11-25).

Johnson’s shot came in the fifth on a three-run dinger to right. Johnson wasn’t the only Duck to homer in the inning as Ka’ai Tom put one over the Serra Subaru sign in short right field.

Tanner Tully (3-3, 3.76) picked up the win. The left-hander allowed three runs, two earned, on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

The RubberDucks will host the first of back-to-back Education Days on Tuesday at 10:35 a.m. Right-hander Jake Paulson (2-0, 4.67) faces Baysox lefty Zac Lowther (2-3, 2.73).
