KSU rally falls short

Kent State scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh, but it was not enough as the Golden Flashes lost 7-5 to visiting Wright State.

Behind 6-1 entering the seventh, Justin Kirby drove in a run on an error before Cam Touchette tripled him home alongside Ben Carew.

Kian O'Brien followed with a fielder's choice to second that scored Touchette and made it 6-5, but KSU (27-22) could not push across another run.
