Louisville 1, Lake 0
Teagan Rice singled home Sydney McKeever in the first inning and that is all the Leopards needed to upset the Blue Streaks and secure the first district title in school history.
Sarah Cantley (14-3) shined in the circle for Louisville (23-4), limiting the state's fourth-ranked Division I team to just four hits and no runs in seven innings. She struck out two.
Lake (22-2) threatened in the sixth inning before Cantley shut down the rally, catching a line drive and throwing to first to double off the runner and end the inning.
CVCA 5, Orange 4 (8)
After a three-run sixth inning by Orange tied the game and forced extra innings, Matt Groggs hit a walk-off double in the eighth to send the Royals to the district semifinals.
Groggs (4-0) also came on in relief in the sixth and pitched 2 2/3 innings of one-hit, shutout baseball.
Josh Junko went 3-for-4, including a double, two runs and two RBI for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (17-9).
