RubberDucks 7, Sea Dogs 3

Half of the RubberDucks' six hits were home runs and newly acquired Scott Moss improved to 2-0 with an Eastern League win over the Sea Dogs Saturday night in Portland, Maine .

Trenton Brooks hit his fourth and five home runs to go with a single and drove in five runs for the Ducks (54-64), who took control early with a four-run second inning. The rightfielder, who is batting .273 with 25 RBI in 44 games with the Ducks, hit a three-run homer off Sea Dogs starter Bryan Mata to key the second-inning outburst and added a solo shot in the fifth that chased Mata (2-5) from the game.

Nolan Jones chipped in a solo home run in the seventh that made it 7-1.

Moss allowed just one hit and one unearned run in five innings, walking two and striking out six.

The Ducks close out the weekend series in Maine at 1 p.m. Sunday.
