The Browns have informed punter Jamie "The Scottish Hammer" Gillan and defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale they're among the players who made the 53-man roster Saturday.

A league source confirmed Gillan, an undrafted rookie, has been told he won the punting job, meaning incumbent Britton Colquitt is out. NFL Network first reported Gillan had pulled off the upset.

A league source told the Beacon Journal the Browns have notified Ekuale he made the initial roster.

All NFL teams must trim their rosters to 53 players before 4 p.m. Saturday.

Wide receiver Ishmael Hyman, safety J.T. Hassell and tight end Stephen Carlson have been told they'll be waived by the Browns, league sources said.
